Sarah Jessica Parker showed up at the Sex in the City premiere in New York City while wearing a long silver gown. Honestly, if I saw this dress on a rack somewhere I would find it incredibly ugly and not give it a second glance. However, for some reason it just works with Sarah. Or maybe it’s not so much that it works with her, it’s that we still think of her as Carrie and it is DEFINITELY a Carrie dress.
Lauren Conrad was seen leaving Les Deux from a photo shoot today. Aside from her cute little purse she was also seen carrying a large shopping bag from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, where she attended school.
Project Runway champ Christian Siriano headed to the Sex and the City premiere last night - maybe to get some design inspiration? He was filmed talking about how he whipped up his own shirt the night before because he had “nothing to wear”.
Heidi Montag stepped out and shopped at Hurley at their warehouse, browsing the clothing that has a heavy skateboarding and surfing design influence. Somehow I never pictured Heidi in skater-wear. Maybe Spencer Pratt, who was with her of course, is looking for an image change?
Heidi is also on the cover of Us magazine, where she talks about how she is once again ready to marry Spencer.
Great! Expect a Heidiwood Bridal & Honeymoon line any day now.
Okay, I know it’s Mariah Carey and I know she’s a big diva. I know we always see her in mini skirts and sky-high heels. But if you’re going to step onto a baseball field to throw out the first pitch in a game, that is the time to DITCH the heels and put on some appropriate shoes. Also, you can probably trade in the belly-baring shirt for a team shirt perhaps.
She looks like a complete and total idiot. If you can’t lose the heels for even ten minutes, stay off the damn field. Also, has anyone told Mariah she’s not 16 anymore and that although she has a fantastic body she’s starting to look like an old hooker in her outfits lately?
I wonder how many people in the stadium were laughing.
Designer Roberto Cavalli obviously doesn’t feel he needs to win people over with his charm. He recently gave and interview where he dissed women for their vulgarity, the Brits for poor fashion sense, and Kate Moss for having a bad clothing line.
Vulgar dressing: “There is a real vulgarity in the way women dress at the moment. They show off too much and try too hard. They don’t understand where the line is between sexy and vulgar. I know where that line is.”
English women having no style, apparently: “It happens a lot with women of a certain nationality - I’m sure you can imagine which - and you just want to say ‘Give it back!’?… The English - oh my God. I shouldn’t say this because I live part of the time in London, but they are on a par with the Swiss stylistically.” (LOL)
Kate Moss’ Topshop line: “Kate Moss’s collection was badly made, stupid and bland; you see things like that everywhere. You can’t just buy things for the label - it’s ridiculous.”
Here’s something you wouldn’t expect - apparently Ugly Betty is prepping for a Broadway show. A musical version of this great show? Fantastic! Cast member Michael Urie said this:
“They do want to do an Ugly Betty musical, a full-on Broadway musical, but it’s all hush-hush. I think it would be great, and they should use the cast from the show. I think we would all do it, although we maybe don’t dance and sing as well as professional singers and dancers. I think it would be fun for us to do it for a while, and then they could get real people in. They definitely want to do an episode that is a musical one, but then they want to do a full stage show. I think it’s a great idea. It would definitely work.”
Victoria Beckham was spotted at Chateau Maramont in L.A. She was posing for a photo shoot but it’s all been very hush-hush as to what exactly the shoot was for.
She certainly looked into it. I guess we can expect a new ad campaign or magazine spread with Victoria in the near future!
