Now here’s innovation for you! Maidenform has created the first truly backless bra for folks who want to wear a plunging back shirt or dress but aren’t comfortable going completely braless (and I don’t have to tell you how tacky it is to have the back of your bra showing, right?).

The way it apparently works is that there is silicone all along the wire channeling so that it stays in place, providing a bit of natural support without any strap along the back. This isn’t the bra that will give you that “life and separate” kind of cleavage-creating hold, but you can’t have everything, you know?

The bra is not yet available, but you’ll be able to purchase it soon for about $25. Will you try it?
