Oh Cate Blanchett, what has become of you? I can’t even express how much I wept when I saw what Cate wore to the Screen Worlds exhibition in Australia.

I need to start by saying that usually Cate is a huge fashion icon for me. She knows how to pick dresses and outfits that are classy, flattering, and even just a little sexy. She normally dresses so well that I would count her among the celebrities I’d like to take shopping because I know she’d pick great stuff for me.

So when I saw that she was wearing what essentially looks like a big old crocheted blanket. And I’m not even exaggerating, my grandmother made a blanket that I keep on my bed and it looks quite similar to what Cate has on here.

I keep hoping she lost a bet or is playing a prank on someone. I look forward to some sane outfits in the near future.
