Blake Lively shows off some Gossip Girl-worthy style at the Tribeca Film Festival when she attended the Chanel dinner.

Back in her original supermodel days, Christy Turlington was always my favorite supermodel. Then she sort of faded away for a long time. Now Chanel is using her in one of their new ads for their upcoming “East-West bag”. I’m so happy to see her around again, I hope she’ll do some more for them!

It sure looks like the Karl Lagerfeld/Chanel show in Paris was exciting. It featured a carousel theme, lots of black, and shiny silver. The line is hoping to continue to please the younger side of Hollywood.

Blake Lively was looking even prettier than her character on Gossip Girl usually does when she attended Chanel’s Nuits de Diamants in New York City Wednesday night. Chanel’s jewelry division held the event to honor the US debut of 20 pieces from Chanel and the Vendome Collection.

Nicole Kidman has been awarded monetary damages from the Daily Telegraph after the British newspaper falsely reported that the actress had jeopardised her position as the face of Chanel by wearing a rival fragrance.

The Daily Telegraph printed allegations that Kidman preferred Jo Malone’s White Jasmine & Mint scent to Chanel No 5, which the actress endorses under a multi-million-dollar contract.  A spokeseman for Kidman said she suffered considerable embarrassment over the story, which claimed the she wore the rival perfume at the London premiere of her latest film, “The Golden Compass.” 

The newspaper has paid up, awarding Kidman an undisclosed amount in damages, which sources say she intends to donate to the United Nations Development Fund for Women. 

Last week, the Daily Telegraph published a retraction offering their “sincere apologies” for any embarrassment they caused. A spokesperson for the paper said the publication accepts the allegations were false and regrets publishing the story.  

Nicole Kidman has been issued an apology from The Daily Telegraph after it reported that the actress, who is the exclusive spokeswoman for Chanel No.5, had preferred Jo Malone’s White Jasmine & Mint scent to the Chanel brand she represents. The paper has also printed a retraction and offered their “sincere apologies” for the story, which was published earlier this week.

The paper had ran a story earlier this week in which they stated that Kidman had been using the Jo Malone fragrance quite liberally and had been “dabbing it on whenever she had a moment” while she was promoting her new film, “The Golden Compass” in the UK with her husband, Keith Urban. 

The Daily Telegraph has since offered up a retraction (and no doubt avoided a lawsuit):

“We now accept that it was entirely untrue to allege that Nicole Kidman had been openly using and promoting a competitor’s product.”

The article in The Daily Telegraph stated Nicole had been “dabbing it on whenever she had a moment” while she was attending the UK red carpet premiere of her new film, “The Golden Compass,” with husband Keith Urban.

A statement from her law firm refutes the allegations as ”entirely untrue” and “grossly defamatory,” adding:

“We have been instructed to obtain an immediate retraction of such allegations and are taking separate action against the Daily Telegraph.”

Johnny Depp’s better half, Vanessa Paradis, donned a Chanel coat and black patent buckle Chanel shoes while she was on hand to flip the switch, turning on the Christmas lights at The Champs Elysees in Paris.  I love the shoes! Last week, Thandie Newton was caught sporting a red pair at the opening of the Somerset House ice rink in London.
