Claudia Schiffer has announced her retirement — from the runway, that is.

The German supermodel was a fixture on the catwalk during her heyday in the 1990s, but she’s vowed never to set foot on a fashion runway again. Claudia for almost 20 years, but these days, she prefers watching the shows to starring in them.

“I’m finished with the runway. I won’t miss it. I am still modeling and I enjoy that a lot but no more runways. I can sit on the side and view the outfits and see all the detail and that suits me fine. It’s very enjoyable. I like my new viewpoint.”
