Lately Lindsay Lohan is almost always seen toting around her Jimmy Choo Carolina Oversized Clutch as she prances around New York City. The purse features black eel skin with water snake leather. It’s closed up with both a zipper and a gold clasp, and can be used as is or with a removable chain link strap.

You can get one for just over $1600 if you’d like!

Get Vanessa’s bag!

No, sorry, I’m not actually offering you a bag, but wouldn’t that be cool? Unfortunately the best I can do is tell you how to get it yourself.

Vanessa Hudgens' bag

Lately you can almost always see her carrying around her Miu Miu Vitello Lux Hobo handbag and you can get one at Saks for about $1155 - but you’ll have to go in person since it’s not currently available online.

Rent Me for $13.00/Week!

Did you know that you can rent designer handbags and jewelry at a fraction of the cost you would pay to purchase them retail?

It’s true!

Over at Bag, Borrow or Steal, they offer all original designer handbags and accessories from clutches to evening bags to vintage and everyday, as well as jewelry, including necklaces, bracelets, earrings and more - all available on loan with no time limit - which means you can keep your item for a week or even a year - and all with an option to purchase - your choice!

You can:

  • Choose from over 3,000 handbag and jewelry styles, all from top designers
  • Carry the “hot” bags that you see in fashion magazines and wear the luxury of fine jewelry
  • Keep your items for as long as you like - up to a year
  • Have the option to purchase the item or trade it in for something else whenever you like
  • Save money
  • Shop online for the newest “must have” bags without spending a fortune

Here’s how it works:

Visit the website over at BagBorroworSteal.com and sign up for a membership.  Memberships range from $5.00 month to $9.95 month.  Once you sign up for a membership, you can shop the site and choose your items.  For the first three months, you’re allowed up to 3 items, with 5 items thereafter.

Once you’ve made your selections, you will pay a weekly fee for each individual item and you can expect them to arrive via UPS within 5 to 6 business days, but when you absolutely, positively need it ASAP, you have the option of overnight delivery.

Once you receive your items, you can keep them as long as you wish by continuing to pay the weekly fee.  You can return your items at any time and if you have an item that’s available for purchase, you can “steal” it.

This is a great service, especially for the holidays when you want to look your very best without burning all your cash.

Did I mention they offer gift cards? Totally perfect for the woman who has everything!

Fashion designer Jimmy Choo told the British clothing chain Warehouse he’d sue if it didn’t pull a a cheap copycat of his $1,350.00 luxury clutch, “The Marin,” toted by such celebs as Lindsay Lohan and Hillary Duff.  Warehouse finally removed the black purse, destroyed thousands of bags and reached an out-of-court settlement with the designer.

Choo and his firm have also won battles against Oasis, Jane Shilton, M&S, Shoe Studio and New Look - some of which had to pony up hefty sums for copying his footwear and handbag designs.

A spokesewoman for Jimmy Choo, Hannah Merritt, said:

“We will not tolerate copies of our products being sold, as we spend significant sums on creating unique and novel designs.”

More photos of Nicky Hilton and sister Paris as Nicky unveiled her handbag designs for Japanese designer label  Samantha Thavasa Handbags in Tokyo, Japan on Tuesday.  According to an earlier post, Nicky and Paris will be in Japan promoting their wares until today.  I think Nicky has got this designer thing down pretty well, especially since she made her New York Fashion Week debut with her Nicholai line, unveiled a new collection from her Chick line at Los Angeles Fashion Week and then went on to Mexico and Russia.  Now, if only Paris could find something contsructive to do with her time.

Victoria Beckham, Penelope Cruz and her sister Monica, Maria Sharapova and Beyonce are among the celebs who have designed handbags for Samantha Thavasa.

The very first Samantha Thavasa boutique was launched in 1994 in Tokyo and the brand went on to be featured in a number of popular fashion magazines with women in their early twenties as the target demographic.  It wasn’t long before the brand (both handbags and jewelry) erupted in popularity and took Japan by storm.

Samantha Thavasa’s effective marketing concept which encourages women to change their purses to suit their moods, keeps the label constantly developing new and creative lines and many fans of the designer purses own more than just a single Samantha Thavasa bag.  The line of Thavasa bags unveils over 200 new looks each season in an array of fabrics, colors and designs.
