Well. Heidi Montag made snarky comments about the style of clothing in the Lauren Conrad Collection and also hinted that the pieces are way too expensive. Looks like she’s in the minority, because apparently Lauren Conrad has the best selling celebrity line out there right now, kicking everyone else’s ass.
Aside from working on her Emmy gown and working on things for the Lauren Conrad Collection, Lauren Conrad is ready to go back to The Hills which premieres August 18th. We’ll learn how she is still best buds with Lo and how things got worse around the house before they got better. She also talked about her acting abilities - or her lack thereof.
It looks like Lauren Conrad is doing well with her Lauren Conrad Collection - she’s about to expand her resume to include evening wear. She’s gearing up to design a red carpet gown for the upcoming Emmy Awards for their trophy girls. No other celebrity has ever been asked to design for them before. She said, “I am so excited that the Academy has asked me to design a dress for this year’s Emmy Awards. I will be doing a red carpet look that still reflects the simple classic design of the Lauren Conrad Collection but with a black tie twist.”
Lauren Conrad looked very pretty and laid back in a maxi dress that is apparently of her own design (possibly showing up in the Lauren Conrad Collection soon?) and a cute braided hairstyle.
This is the way to promote a line of your clothing! Not only is Lauren Conrad wearing a great outfit from her own Lauren Conrad Collection, she’s also looking absolutely amazing while doing so. She was apparently heading to a psychic for a reading (uh, okay) but I don’t think she needs to look into the future to know that her clothing line will continue to sell.
In the new issue of US magazine, Lauren Conrad lashes back at critics who say that she’s not really involved in her own design line, the Lauren Conrad Collection. She tells the magazine:
“The rumors that I am not the designer of my own collection are ridiculous and hurtful. I’ve been involved in this entire process, every single step of the way. I have wanted to be a fashion designer since I was a little girl. I grew up designing and sewing dresses for my barbie dolls, and the Lauren Conrad Collection has been my dream come true.”
Poor Lauren Conrad isn’t having a very good week is she? First she gets her name smeared over a doggie fashion show and now she finds out that Kitson is dumping her Lauren Conrad Collection from their store.
Lauren Conrad is clearly doing well for herself and is starting to rake in the big bucks with the Lauren Conrad Collection. Forbes published their annual Celebrity power list and although Lauren came in near the bottom at #97 she still made $1.5 million.
I always wondered how much money reality show stars earn, and apparently it’s a nice tidy sum. I may have to re-think my stance that I would never be on a reality show. If someone offers me that much money, I just might.
