Kanye West is a huge fan of Louis Vuitton and was seen heading into the line’s show in Paris. More than just a fan, though, Kanye also announced that he will be designing a line of footwear for Louis Vuitton, and will later be doing a separate line (not L.V.) for women.
Apparently Kanye is just a huge fashion junkie in general - check out his blog where he writes about fashion a lot and displays photos he’s taken while at various runway shows. Cool!
Here’s a way to bring lousy publicity to your line - Louis Vuitton has sued a Darfur Fundraiser because an artist created a design featuring a young Darfur refugee carrying a little LV-esque handbag with a tiny dog inside. The point of the design, which is being sold on t-shirts and posters, was to show that stars like Paris Hilton get all the media attention and maybe if we use some of their tricks we can bring a bit of much-needed attention to those who really need it.
Except, even though it’s not an actual LV bag or logo and despite the fact that 100% of the profit goes to the charity, they’re being sued.
Louis Vuitton will cost you a fair amount of money as it is. Kristin Davis had to pay extra when she went shopping there in L.A. yesterday - because she got slapped with a parking ticket. Oops! I wonder if she bought herself a nice new handbag to cheer herself up. She always looks so stylish, even off the set of fashion-crazy Sex and the City.
Rihanna hit up the Louis Vuitton shop in Paris after a busy week of checking out shows for Paris Fashion Week. She took the shopping seriously, getting herself dressed in a killer outfit. She also went to the Jean Paul Gaultier and Emanuel Ungaro boutiques. I wonder if Rihanna would ever consider creating her own fashion line - she has an interest in fashion and she sure has a great sense of style!
Woohoo! Here’s a little sneak peek at the new Marc Jacobs & Louis Vuitton documentary which will first be aired on the Sundance channel for Fashion Week (February 4th).
