Would you wear sunglasses design by the Queen of Pop? Madonna is turning designer for Dolce & Gabbana! The “Like A Virgin” singer has teamed up with pals Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana — the creative forces behind Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana — to design a collection of sunglasses for the label. The sunglass collection, dubbed MDG, will go on sale this May at Dolce & Gabbana stores worldwide and at the Sunglass Hut.

“We’re so excited,” Gabbana told WWD. “This further strengthens our relationship with Madonna, and it was a very constructive experience for us. She is very exacting and a professional who seeks perfection in everything she does, and this was no exception.”

Madonna has been replaced as the face of French fashion house Louis Vuitton by controversial supermodel Lara Stone.

The Dutch beauty, 25, was handpicked for the brand’s spring-summer 2010 campaign by Madonna’s good friend, designer Marc Jacobs. Lara created a stir earlier this year when she graced the cover of French Vogue in “Blackface.”

“After two seasons with such a huge star, Marc decided to take a breather and work with a model – and not just any model. It’s the choice of a new supermodel,” a Louis Vuitton spokesman said Friday.

Madonna has promoted LV in two seasonal campaigns.
