Remember when Nicole Richie was dangerously skinny and you sort of felt like she could be pretty if she wasn’t so skeletal? Motherhood has been really good for Nicole. While she’s still on the thin side of the scale (so to speak), she’s got some nice curves now. She showed up on the red carpet for the Carousel of Hope ball in a gorgeous gold dress with beading detail and she just looks absolutely stunning.
Yikes!
Usually I like Nicole Richie’s laid-back sense of style but this is just not a good look. When you’re as tiny as Nicole, this much fabric is just overwhelming. She’d need to be at least half a foot taller to accommodate it all.

Nicole Richie took a break from being supermom and hit the town for a fashionable cause. She attended an Alexander Wang show at Satine. She may have been picking up pointers for launching a successful line since she’s hard at work on her own fashion ventures.
Apparently she’s also setting up a reality show about finding a girl who can achieve insta-fame just by appearing on television. Hmmm, sounds familiar.
Nicole Richie is a mom on the move. She was spotted grabbing some caffeine on her way to a meeting at MTV, and I can’t help but wonder what that’s about - as long as it’s not another reality show with Paris! It would be great to see her home life though.
However, aside from whatever was going on with MTV, Nicole Richie is still busy with her designing. Her soon-to-launch jewelry line, House of Harlow, is actually going to expand over time to become an entire kids’ apparel collection which will include clothes, shoes, shades, and everything in between. The jewelry is the first stage and we’ll be able to get our hands on it in August.
When she was asked to elaborate on her children’s line, Nicole said, “I’m at the very beginning stages but I’m designing adult clothes for babies. The girl’s clothes are designed after my personal clothing and the guy’s clothes are going to be designed after [Joel Madden’s].”
That will be so cute, mom and dad mini-me outfits!

Nicole Richie may be busy working on her own clothing lines but she’s not too busy to do some good charitable work too, especially now that she’s a mother who understands the importance of health care for children. She has signed on as the spokesperson for the Signorelli brand which benefits the Children’s Health Fund. Nicole said there was no way she could turn down this opportunity after she was told that over 500,000 children in L.A. alone don’t have any kind of health care.
The line was launched at Neiman Marcus and it showcased t-shirts, jumpers, hats, tank tops, and more with an angel logo. Nicole herself wore one of the line’s black t-shirt with the white angel. She hopes to help raise $400,000 for the cause.
Nicole has come a long way since her days of throwing bleach on pool tables in The Simple Life, hasn’t she?
Word right now is that Nicole Richie is being considered for a role on Gossip Girl. Now that she’s settled down a bit, she’s feeling more serious about wanting to pursue an acting career and allegedly both Nicole and the GG creators are interested and working things out.

Nicole Richie was spotted attending her court-ordered traffic school classes and she just prove that you can be totally casual without sacrificing style, and that you can be a mom and still look hot. Flared jeans (by Paige), a simple t-shirt, and her trademark oversized sunglasses, that’s it.
And speaking of being a mom, she certainly dropped the baby weight quickly!
Nicole Richie attended her court assigned traffic courses in L.A. Being a mom has cut down on Nicole’s party time so I guess that explains why she chose to wear all these different styles at the same time. If you have limited time out I guess you need to show off as much as possible when you do go out.
