The Queen of Talk has embarked on Oprah’s “Great Closet Clean-Out.” As part of a process described in the March issue of O, The Oprah Magazine, O is parting with more than 150 items — including a Chanel bag and a Carolina Herrera dress — in an eBay charity auction. From March 1 – 11 (kicking off at 11AM on March 1), fans can place their bids for a piece of Oprah’s closet. All proceeds will benefit The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy.

The line, called CJ by Cookie Johnson, launched in early 2009 and was masterminded by the wife of NBA legend Magic Johnson. “I had a hard time finding a jean to fit me,” Cookie explains. “Every time I [would] go to the stores, I put the jeans on and I couldn’t get them past my thighs. I thought: ‘I’m in good shape. I work out. I eat healthy. Why can’t I find a jean to fit me?’”

One of the secrets to the jeans’ success, Cookie says, is its stretchy material. “My partner, Michael Glasser, is an expert at fabrics, and he searched all over and found these wonderful fabrics from Europe that had great stretch to them but were so comfortable at the same time,” she tells Oprah.

“We put a silk waistband inside the waist so they will be nice and comfortable. There’s a lot of different aspects to this jean that go to comfort.”

On Friday, Oprah’s audience got the pleasure of seeing Justin Timberlake launch his William Rast line.

The line was created with JT’s business partner, Trace Ayala and the name William Rast came from pairing up their grandfathers’ names. The line itself is predominantly quality denim wear with casual shirts.

Justin said that he really likes when women combine something a little sexy with something a little on the tomboy side of things. His girlfriend, Jessica Biel has that same style and Justin admitted that she was a muse for some of the line, though he also said he’s inspired “by the world”.

Justin mentioned that he thinks every woman needs to have a good pair of jeans and a leather jacket as part of their personal wardrobe.

Oprah Winfrey is a brave woman – for years she has not only battled her weight like many women, but she has openly discussed it on her television show for all the public to hear. How many would do that? Now at over 200 pounds, Oprah is again battling the weight gain and is talking about it instead of hiding it.

Like many of us, Oprah is looking at this brand new year as a chance to start over and improve things that need it. She is going to tackle her weight and health in 2009 and had this to say:

“This is the year of hopefulness. My goal is to be the weight that my body can hold and be healthy and strong and fit and be itself. One of the things I had to learn to do is to embrace this body that I have and be grateful for what this body has given me. God blessed me and this body. I mean, I could weep right now thinking about the love and appreciation I have for this body. For that, I am truly grateful.”

She also said that despite being a very visible public figure on television, she has been trying to hide herself lately when she does her cover shoots for her O magazine. Oprah then said, that after some soul-searching, it’s less about food in and of itself and more about needing to achieve balance.

“It’s not about the food. It’s about using food – abusing food. Too much work. Not enough play. Not enough time to come down. Not enough time to really relax. I am hungry for balance. I’m hungry to do something other than work.”

The Queen Of Talk is scheduled to open a 4,500 square foot store next door to her famed Harpo Studios in Chicago. Fans can expect the new structure to offer the same items as O’s online boutique.

“Fans will be able to buy Oprah merchandise such as an Oprah iPod cover, African-designed baskets and clothes, the station said. Many of the products also can be found on her Web site,” says a source.
