Todd Palin, husband of Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin, is known as the “First Dude” in Alaska and isn’t bad looking at all. Which is perhaps why Caribaya, a rum company, is supposedly pursuing Todd to be their spokesman, including a series of billboard ads. The company intends to lure him over to their product by promising him that he will be a sex symbol to women everywhere. Uhhh. Wow?

Vice President hopeful Sarah Palin has issued a statement saying that she has not accepted a $150,000 wardrobe from upscale shops, although allegations claim they were purchased for her to use on the campaign trail and would later be donated. Sarah laughed the rumor off, saying that she is far more frugal than you would likely believe (doesn’t she have a very expensive tanning bed at home? Frugal?). Do you believe her?

Wow. Apparently the latest shopping trip to add to Sarah Palin’s wardrobe cost the Republican National Committee a whopping $150,000. Really? I understand she’s in the public eye right now and she needs to look good when she’s pretending to answer questions but that’s seriously excessive. It’s also a bit of a slap in the face considering the state of the economy right now. When you’re busy trying to reassure voters that electing your party to office will bring about the right people to turn the economy around, throwing over a hundred grand out for clothing is not exactly the best strategy ever. What do you think? Is style worth that kind of hefty price tag in this case?

Although Tina Fey has been doing an amazing (and hilarious) job of impersonating Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live for the past several weeks, Tina told Us Weekly that she thinks the Alaskan governor is five times better looking than she is and that she has to glue her ears back before going on the show. She also said, “”I’ll tell you, that lady is five times better-looking than I am. She’s 44? She’s got none of that droopy s–t. She’s keeping it tight!” Do you think so? Is Sarah Palin hotter than Tina Fey? I throw my vote at Tina, honestly. Palin is attractive but Tina is gorgeous.

You know, if you’re going to support a political candidate, you might want to look in your mirror first to make sure that what you’re wearing a) is not fugly and b) is even remotely flattering. On both those counts, this Sarah Palin t-shirt is an EPIC FAIL.

It’s a shame that Sarah Palin can’t just do a catwalk routine in a swimsuit now like she did back in her pageant days – she might make people forget that her answers to questions like her foreign policy experience are totally whacked.
