Plus-sized Precious star Gabourey Sidibe has A-list designers lining up to design a special dress for her Oscars debut on March 7. “We’ve been offered dresses by all these huge designers. It just proves that anyone can dress a full-sized woman,” says the star’s stylist Linda Medvene. “I have such good relationships with people and they’re madly in love with Gabby. Everyone wants to dress her,” Linda added.

While now comfortable in her skin, the full-figured Gabourey admits she spent much of her life struggling with body image: “It’s something I’ve had to work at. My first diet started when I was six years old. I’ve never been a small girl. One day I had to sit down with myself and decide that I loved myself no matter what my body looked like and what other people thought about my body.”

Gabby — who is nominated for a Best Actress trophy at next month’s ceremony for her portrayal of a horribly-abused Harlem teen — has selected a Marchesa gown for the big night.

The 82nd Annual Academy Awards — hosted by Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin — will air live from the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles on March 7.
