Eyewear Goes High Tech
Okay, you’ve got to love this. Finally someone has come up with the idea to combine electronics and eyewear to form the new O ROKR Pro, it’s stereo eyewear that’s both fashionable and practical. Tell me, who doesn’t like those two words together? What’s even more awesome is that if you wear corrective lenses, they come in prescription frames and offer a variety of lens tints to choose from.
According to the O ROKR website:
You no longer have to be tethered to your mobile phone or favorite MP3 Player, they can be safely stored away in a backpack or pocket. With a secure fit and an advanced sweat-resistant design, it’s an incredible training tool. Listen to music and make calls virtually anywhere with a system that adjusts easily for when you need to hear your environment.
The website also lists the follwing benefits:
- Wirelessly listen to your iPod and connect to your mobile phone
- Sport-inspired styling based on our Half Jacket™ eyewear
- Unobtanium® nose pads and ear socks increase grip with sweat for a more secure fit
- Hydrophobic™ lens coating prevents water streaks, sheens and smudges
- Music and mobile phone controls right at your fingertips
These are going to be all the rage - I predict that by next summer these will be perched on noses all across the country. I especially like the white frames with the pink lenses - very cool.
