Filippa Hamilton Fired From Ralph Lauren For Fat(Size 4)
Former Ralph Lauren model Filippa Hamilton claims she was fired for not being thin enough. She’s a size 4! She’s the same model who saw her body digitally distorted for Ralph Lauren’s controversial Blue Label ad just last week. Ralph Lauren’s clothing company reportedly fired the model, whose body looked emaciated in the heavily touched-up ad, because she weighed too much, Filippa told TODAY on Wednesday. Filippa – whose hips appeared slimmer than her head in the recent altered ad – said her contract was terminated in April because she was too heavy.

“They fired me because they said I was overweight and I couldn’t fit in their clothes anymore,” the 5-10, 120-pound model explains. Hamilton says the legendary designer wrote a letter to her agent saying, “We’re terminating your services because you don’t fit into the sample clothes that you need to wear.”

The Swedish-French stunner, now 23, has worked for Ralph Lauren since she was 15.
“I was shocked to see that super skinny girl with my face,” says Filippa, who considered the RL fold like a “second family.” “It’s very sad, I think, that Ralph Lauren could do something like that.”
Ralph Lauren denies that she was fired for being too large.
“We consider her an important part of our imaging and branding,” the designer said in a statement to the media. “We regret that our relationship has ended as a result of her inability to meet the obligations under her contract with us.”
