GLAAD is calling on FOX network to apologize for snarky commentary made towards Isis, a transgender contestant on America’s Next Top Model. FOX is always so CLASSY. Not. I’m ecstatic that Isis is on the show, it’s about time.

I don’t know at what time you posted this yesterday, but the Fox News anchor in question issued a heartfelt apology at about 8:15 a.m. eastern time. If you’re going to knock a reporter you don’t particularly like and demand apologies, please acknowledge when you DO get apologies. To post something like this AFTER THE APOLOGY HAS BEEN MADE without so much as mentioning it is very unfair.

Seems to me that most of the snide remarks were made by the editor of Us Weekly, not the reporter doing the story. Did anyone demand an apology from him?

I think it’s a wonderfully courageous step that Isis has taken. She has a great opportunity to shine for the whole transgendered community. It’s somewhat predictable that Fox would stoop so low. I suppose they’re too busy taking the speck out of our eye to worry about the plank in their own. If only a prominent religious figure had spoken out against judging one another…

Tracy, then you should take up the issue with GLAAD as they demanded the apology, while I just posted about the story. And also, just because you read this after the apology was issued doesn’t mean I wrote it after the fact. I actually posted this BEFORE the apology.

And sometimes the damage is already done even if the apology is given.

What do you think?
