Check this out – Guerlain, who created the first automatic lipstick and the first solid lipstick back in the 1920’s, has just introduced ”KissKiss Gold and Diamonds,” the first-ever $62,000.00 lipstick custom designed in France, adorned with 110g of solid 18-carat yellow gold and sprinkled with 199 diamonds of 2.2 carats!  The lipstick is a unique replica of the original top-selling KissKiss lipstick created in 2005 by Olivier Echaudemaison and  designer Herve Van Der Straeten.

The lipstick comes in a black lacquered case, is refillable (!) and has a lip brush and black suede pouch. The gold encasing can be engraved and the lipstick is available in 15 customizable shades of the following colors (as well as “White Shine”): 

• 6 Shades of Pink
• 6 Shades of Red
• 3 Neutrals

I think $62,000.00 is a lot of smackers for a tube of lipstick, but then again, there are those diamonds…Seriously though, this is probably way to extravagant for most of us (or at least for me anyway - I don’t wear the stuff enough to justify even spending $12.00), although I’m sure that perhaps Christina Aguilera might be interested in making a purchase in her favorite shade of red.
