Last night’s American Music Awards proved once again that celeb style and fashion is different for just about everyone.  From Beyonce’s elegant look to Rihanna’s bow bling, we witnessed fashion at it’s best - and worst.

Here are a few hits and misses from last night’s event.  Feel free to comment with your opinions!

Beyonce: A show stopper. The best dressed of the night.

avril-ama.jpg

Avril: I love you Av, I really do - but not this look.  I like the dress, but I think it would look better on someone else.  The pink stripe in your hair?  Well, I’m used to it so it doesn’t really bother me, but this look is all wrong for you.

More after the jump, so read on!

alicia-ama.jpg

Alicia: Love the look - everything matches and I like the sash at the waist.  I think it might be just a little conservative for her compared to what I’m used to seeing her wear at these events (I love her in white), but at least she wont be tabloid fodder for her choice.  It’s a hit.

christina-ama.jpg

Christina: I’m on the fence here.  First of all, love the color - not everyone can wear electric blue and get away with it, but she’s one of the few who can and wears it rather often, which means she knows what looks good on her.  The color also brings out her blonde hair, so she looks really good. On the other hand, the bodice?  Not so much.  It reminds me of origami gone bad or folded napkins at the dinner table.

fergie-ama.jpg

Fergie: She looks good, but no surprise here.  Typical babydoll dress is always her style.

jordin-ama.jpg

Jordin:  I think she looks good here and I like the dress - in fact I like everything about this look.  But something seems missing.  Maybe it’s because her plunging neckline could use some jewelry enhancement?

julianne-hough-ama.jpg

Julianne: She looks fab.  I like the silver on green and the matching shoes and bag are divine.  A hit.

mary-j-ama.jpg

Mary J.: Love this on her.  She’s such a class act, I wouldn’t expect anything less than this. She’s one of the very few who can wear prints like nobody’s businesses.  The look is hard to pull off if you don’t have all the curves in all the right places and the personality to match.  She’s got it all.  A hit.

natasha-ama.jpg

Natasha:  The fit is all wrong - it hangs on her like a silk drapery panel.  A miss.

vanessa-ama.jpg

Vanessa: Here’s a girl who knows how to dress up - and check out those shoes!  Love this look on her - she looks fab!  A definate hit for sure.

rihanna-ama-3.jpg

Rihanna: What was she thinking?  Absolutely the worst look of the night in my opinion.  What do you think?

Worst of the night was Beyonce, with that tight sausage dress enhancing the bulge on her belly while her nipples are about to plunge out. And her sister, Solange, is the only one who could take away the worst dress title thanks to the Glad bag that she used as an outfit.
