On Thursday, celebrities, artists and professional athletes came together in Beverly Hills to celebrate basketball All-Star Carmelo Anthony and Jordan Brand’s launch of the Jordan Melo M4 basketball shoe.  The star-studded event highlighted the Jordan Melo M4’s inspirations, which featured a gallery of artwork unique to the shoe by accentuating Anthony’s basketball heritage.   

Jordan Brand sought design inspiration from the jaguar - both the cat and the luxury car. The shoe reportedly represents power and strength much like the feline, while the bottom of the outsole represents the cat’s paws, providing better traction overall. The rest of the shoe they say, handles like the luxury automobile.
