While I’m not fond of the gladiator shoe trend for myself – my lifestyle just doesn’t call for them – I appreciate why they’re popular, and this is the second time in less than a week that we’ve seen Katie Holmes rockin’ a pair of them. That’s okay with me. It’s the stirrup pants that worry me. I lived through the first incarnation of stirrup pants and that’s honestly one trend that should stay buried in the late 80s and early 90s. Alone, they’re bad enough but pairing up stirrup pants with gladiator stiletto heels is one of the most frightening fashion trends I’ve seen in awhile. Please tell me no one else in Hollywood is wearing this. If it’s just Katie we can call it a quirk. If everyone else is wearing it too, next thing you know it will be everywhere and no good can come of that.
