Lauren Conrad did a photo shoot for Harper’s Bazaar and showed off a new brunette hairdo. It’s not a long-term change – it’s just a wig – and from the sounds of it, Lauren has no intentions of trying her hand at a darker style any time soon.

While discussing the wig and how it didn’t really stop people from recognizing her for long, Lauren said, “I think initially the wig threw people off, but they figured it out. I felt like it only disguised me for a moment, and then it made me feel like I was hiding, which made me feel silly.”

She went on to explain the reactions people had when she first tried on a dark wig: “I went into a wig store and tried on a brown wig, and they all laughed at me. All these women [who worked there] were like, ‘You look like Hannah Montana.’ [...] Day to day, I can only do blonde. Everything else makes me look sort of plain-Jane.”

I don’t know. I love her blond hair and she should stick with whatever makes her feel her best, but I completely disagree about plain-Jane!
