The World of Social Networking Meets The Catwalk: Facebook fans have been commissioned to select the next face of Levi’s Jeans.

Levi’s page on Facebook is inviting women to submit a video talking about themselves and why they should be chosen the brand’s new Levi’s Girl! The company is on the hunt for a woman with “an amazing personality who is willing to be the face (of the brand) and to connect with our female fan base.”

“Last year we empowered the ‘Levi Guy’ – our social media coordinator – to be the voice of the Levi’s brand to our Facebook community,” says Kristen Mannister, Levi’s Director of Women’s and Digital Marketing.

The new Levi’s Girl will be paid to work at the Levi’s headquarters in San Francisco, Calif., for six months where they will “be the face and voice of the Levi’s brand for women, channeling their ideas, outlook and discovers to millions of people around the world.”

Hopefuls are invited to submit a 1-2 minute video. The five best submissions will be posted on Facebook, where fans will make the final selection.

Contestants have until June 20 to submit videos.
