In a stroke of marketing genius, the French beauty brand’s has decided to publish the world’s first unretouched cosmetic ad as prove just how flawless their signature facial whip makes consumer’s skin. The ad marks the launch of Make Up For Ever’s new HD Invisible Cover Foundation Collection, which brand bosses claim is so high-performance, that even an HD camera would struggle to detect any imperfections. The promo, which appeared on the pages of the April issue of style magazines this week, features a beaming Blake Lively-lookalike holding up a camera to take a photograph of herself.

The high-end Make Up For Ever brand was created by French makeup artist Dany Sanz, a former painter who developed her first line of products as she put together her artist’s palette.

“Both professional make-up artists and Sephora clients have embraced HD Invisible Cover Foundation, making it the go to for hand-applied high definition make up,” says Gilles Kortzagadarian, General Manager of Make Up For Ever North America.

“Our objective for this campaign is to reach consumers who have not tried the product range and prove that it truly creates a complexion so flawless, there’s no need for retouching, even for an ad visual.”
