Manolo Blahnik Hates Celebrities
Forget celebs: Manolo Blahnik only wants stylish women to wear his shoes.
The famous shoe designer hates just anybody donning his creations and likes people with a certain look to showcase his footwear.

“I hate celebrities. All those pointless girls – I won’t name names, but you know who I mean. They are ‘famous’. Ridiculous. I like women with style: actresses like Uma Thurman, icons like Audrey Hepburn. I like women with style to wear my shoes,” Blahnik retorted.
At least he likes one star. Blahnik is inspired by Sex And The City actress Sarah Jessica Parker — as well as her on-screen alter ego Carrie Bradshaw.
“I adore Ms. Parker. The character she played has had such a role in my career – I cannot help but regard both of them as muses! I adore cinema generally and a large chunk of my collections is inspired by it. It could be a character, a scene, or just the spirit of a movie. I watch them all night long.”
