Mary Kay & Country Queens Kiss-Up For A Good Cause
Reba McEntire was one of many top country female artists who “puckered up” for a great cause – to help stop domestic violence, all part of Mary Kay Cosmetics ”A Kiss for Country” program.
Spokesperson for the event, Martina McBride, as well as McEntire, Sara Evans, Miranda Lambert, Jennifer Nettles, Jo Dee Messina, Jennifer Hanson, Tanya Tucker, Lynn Anderson, and Wynonna, have all joined forces with the cosmetic giant, who is also the Official Beauty Sponsor of The 41st Annual CMA Awards, in the national “A Kiss for Country” charity campaign. Tonight, Martina will be at The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum to unveil the celebrity-kissed cards.
“As a performer, I am lucky to have the opportunity to share my messages with the public, but through ‘A Kiss for Country,’ Mary Kay is allowing me to spread hope.”
Also beginning today, fans will have the chance to bid on their favorite smoocher prints at u.Bid.com, where 100 % of all proceeds go to the Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation programs, which are committed to ending domestic violence.
Mary Kay is also providing a $20,000.00 grant to a women’s shelter in each participating artist’s name in exchange for their kiss print. The grants will be awarded in 2008 to women’s domestic violence shelters in each of the 50 states.
