Miley Cyrus almost topless for Vanity Fair

Miley Cyrus is embarrassed by a photo shoot done by legendary Annie Lebowitz in the June issue of Vanity Fair magazine. The photos include one of Miley in bed and appearing to be wearing nothing more than a sheet. Allegedly, she only ever saw the digital shots on the back of the camera in its LCD screen and everyone, including her parents who were on set, thought they were cute and fun. Having seen them in full size for the magazine, Miley feels they are inappropriate.

Miley Cyrus embarrassed over photos

When you’re 15 years old and your fans are young, impressionable girls, you don’t want to get too provocative in your photoshoots. Miley Cyrus released the following statement to the press:

“I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed. I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about.

I appreciate all the support of my fans, and hope they understand that along the way I am going to make mistakes and I am not perfect. I never intended for any of this to happen and I am truly sorry if I have disappointed anyone.

Most of all, I have let myself down. I will learn from my mistakes and trust my support team. My family and my faith will guide me through my life’s journey.”

Awww. Poor Miley! Still, you know, looking at the photo, you have to wonder. Miley Cyrus is topless, with a sheet draped around her, glancing seductively over her shoulder. What exactly did everyone THINK it would look like?!
