Mischa Barton has been released from about two weeks’ worth of involuntary hospitalization for reasons that were never formally disclosed – although one theory is that it was for extreme depression over her body issues.

Now that she’s out a free woman, she’s headed to New York to work on her new television show The Beautiful Life, created by Ashton Kutcher.

I’m glad that Mischa is apparently better but I worry about her heading straight to work, especially this particular project. While I’m eager to see the show myself, it seems a bit of a bad fit. She’s an actress who parties too hard to deal with body image issues who is about to play a drug-addicted model with… body issues.

She may be able to bring something powerful to this character but what will her character do to her?
