Miss Mexico’s dress sparks outrage

Now here’s interesting for you. Miss Mexico’s dress for the Miss Universe pageant has sparked an incredible amount of outrage. It’s not because of it being too revealing or trashy. No, it’s causing an uproar because the dress comes with a bullet-studded belt and the dress is accented with pictures of crosses, scapulars, a man facing a firing squad, and hangings from an uprising in the 1920s.

Yes. That’s certainly cheerful. A lot of Mexicans are angry, saying it shows the wrong message, whereas the designers are arguing that it represents the nation’s culture and history.

You know, knowing your nation’s history is great and all, but you don’t need to stitch it on your DRESS.
