Naomi Campbell was horrified to find she had to wear a sweaty workmen’s vest for community service.

The catwalk diva demanded she was given the shiny reflector jacket early so she could take it home and give it a good wash.

But New York Sanitation bosses REFUSED the request by her lawyers — and said she’d get the gear on Monday when she starts five days’ mopping floors and emptying bins.

A Sanitation insider said: “We joked that she wanted the jacket tailored.”

Naomi, 36 – punished for hurling a phone at her maid – is also banned from having a mobile at work.

She will also not be allowed to sneak in to protect her from a ‘walk of shame’ past the press.

Sanitation chief Albert Durrell warned: “This is not a club.”

Bosses will also issue Naomi with a pair of tough gloves.

It’s all a bit of a comedown from her Persil ad (pictured at top) three years ago when she wore slinky rubber gloves — plus high heels and a bikini.

Advert boss Vincent McEvoy said: “It’s funny that she will be scrubbing in gloves for nothing. We paid her a fortune.”
