Good news for those of us who can’t attend New York Fashion Week - the Sundance Channel plans to provide access in February with “Ready to Watch,” a six night series of style-oriented features.
We’ll get to see the television premiere of Prigent’s “Marc Jacobs & Louis Vuitton,” Douglas Keeve’s “Seamless,” Gero von Boehm’s “Karl Lagerfeld is Never Happy Anyway,” David Teboul’s “Yves St. Laurent: 5 Avenue Marceau 75116 Paris,” Gillian Armstrong’s “Unfolding Florence” and William Klein’s 1966 comedy, “Who Are You Polly Maggoo?”
For those who can’t ever seem to get enough of Jacobs, a documentary follows the designer and his team from New York to Tokyo to Paris, all highlighting the design process from idea to runway for both Jacobs’ eponymous line and the Louis Vuitton Spring 2007 collections.
The series will coincide with the Fall/Winter 2008 collections on February 4th through the 9th.
The week will begin on Monday with the Signé Chanel marathon, the five-part documentary miniseries revealing the making of Chanel’s Fall/Winter 2004-2005 collection. Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton will also premiere that night. The week will also include a reprisal of the eight-part original series “House of Boateng,” which follows European menswear designer Ozwald Boateng.
