Women know that there’s nothing in the world quite like a really good supportive bra. In fact the only thing better than a really awesome bra is a really awesome bra that doubles as a gas mask! Woo! Wait. What?

The 2009 Ig Nobel prizes were given to projects that “first make people laugh and then make them think”. It was Dr Elena Bodnar who won the prize in the public health category. She put on a demonstration – and I would love to have seen that – to show exactly how it works, converting quickly from date-saving bra to life-saving gas mask.

I’m not sure I’d want to trust my safety in some sort of attack to something that holds my rack for me, but I guess it’s better than nothing! The big question would be – is it still sexy?

And can you use it in the event of a bed partner who thinks a Dutch Oven is funny?
