Queen Latifah launches new fragrance “Queen by Queen Latifah”

Queen Latifah has already made a name for herself in cosmetics as a spokesperson for Cover Girl and now she’s moving in perfume.
Queen Latifah has teamed up with Parlux Fragrances to create her first scent, Queen by Queen Latifah. The perfume will contain a blend of mandarin, cognac (!), jasmine, Moroccan coriander, and Egyptian musk. Sounds like it will be very exotic and sensual. I love that it will have cognac notes in it since for ME, cognac always smelled better than it tasted.
The bottle will be a deep red with a heart embossed upon it, while the ads will feature Queen Latifah herself in regal poses. Come August, you’ll be able to purchase Queen by Queen Latifah for $49 for a 1.7 ounce bottle.
Speaking about her new fragrance, Queen Latifah said, “Beauty really does start on the inside. It’s like a state of mind, a state of love, if you will. So I see a fragrance as just a natural expression of this state of love: Scent expresses a woman’s confidence and sensuality, it’s how she embraces her body, her mind and her strength.”
Can’t wait to see what it smells like!
