Sarah Jessica Parker may have looked spectacular when she showed up on the red carpet for NYC’s Sex and the City premiere in a dream-like silvery Nina Ricci gown but now she’s ticked off after finding out she settled for sloppy seconds. The design team had assured her she was wearing an exclusive never-before-worn gown, but it turns out that Lauren Santo Domingo wore it to the Met Ball a month earlier.

Sarah Jessica Parker said:

“In the big picture, this is not important. But there is a relationship between the entertainment industry and fashion. Look, my affection for the dress hasn’t changed, but what they did was so short-sighted. It’s just unethical and disappointing that they would allow the dress to be worn again. I just wish it had been handled differently and they had been straight about it.”

Is it important enough to be upset about it? They didn’t wear it to the same event at least – and I think SJP looked better in it anyway!
