Milan has moved up its next women’s ready-to-wear season by two days for the 2008 calendar.  The next Milan fashion week, which will feature all of fall 2008 collections, will open on Saturday February 16th and will run through February 23rd. The Paris season, also showing fall 2008 collections, remains unchanged, and is scheduled to run from February 24th through March 2nd.

Of course, this collides with the Academy Awards, which many believe is the key fashion date of the whole year, since the Oscars are handed out on February 25th. 

For those keeping track, the January calendar is as follows:

Milan’s men’s season from January 12th through January 16th, Paris men’s season runs from January 17th through January 20th and Paris Haute Couture from January 21 through January 24th.
