Shohreh Aghdashloo’s blue gown at the 2009 Emmy Awards

Actress Shohreh Aghdashloo won an award at the 2009 Emmy Awards for her role in the mini-series House of Saddam, but she could have won an award for her dress too.
Blue is my favorite color so I tend to gravitate towards that on the red carpet. Amid the sea of black, white, and red gowns, blue dresses always stand out to me. Shohreh Aghdashloo’s blue gown was absolutely perfect. The style and cut was extremely flattering to her, and the shade of blue against her skin tone was stunning.
I think that even though it was a relatively “safe” look and maintained fairly simple lines, this is one of my favorite looks of the night.
