Tom Ford ready for directorial debut
Tom Ford is a big name in the fashion world (and is also well-known for dressing Brad Pitt at almost every red carpet function he attends!) but now the designer is ready for a turn behind the cameras as a director.
Tom’s movie, A Single Man has won a spot in the competition at Venice’s 66th Film Festival’s Lion d’Or. The film is based on a British novel and tells the story of a gay English professor who tries to continue living as normally as he can after his partner’s death. It stars Colin Firth and Julianne Moore among others, so it has a pretty big-name cast attached to it.
Being placed for competition is a pretty big deal and an excellent accomplishment for a first effort in film making, he should be very proud of himself!
