Tom Ford Slams Yves Saint Laurent
Tom Ford has launched an acid-tongued attack on legendary designer Yves Saint Laurent.
The former Gucci boss has blasted the “evil” Frenchman for making their time working together “difficult and miserable,” even though he helped boost the fashion house’s sales with his designs.

“Being at Yves Saint Laurent was such a negative experience for me, even though the business boomed while I was there,” Tom – who was creative director of Gucci, who bought out Yves’ label in 1999 – told The Advocate this week.
“Yves and his partner Pierre Berge were so difficult and made my life such misery,” he addeed. “I’ve never talked about this on the record before but it was such an awful time for me. Yves was just evil.”
Tom was so tramatized by the experience, he prefers not to talk about YSL: “Yves Saint Laurent doesn’t exist for me.”
Yves died in June 2008 at the age 71. The designer recently surpassed Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson as Forbes Magazine’s Highest-Earning Dead Celebrity.
