Victoria Beckham Covers Elle
Victoria Beckham, shown on the cover of the January issue of Elle wearing Christian Dior, will hit the streets on December 11th. In an exclusive interview with the magazine, she tells of being picked on and a loner in school, but very close to her family, including her younger brother and sister. She also dishes on the dVb brand, fashion, and her V-Sculpt cosmetic line, which is all the rage in Japan.
After all her accomplishments, it’s hard to believe that while Victoria auditioned for and was accepted at the Laine Theatre Arts College in Surrey, she says she simply wasn’t a ‘natural talent’:
“You walk in and there are pictures of ex-students who had done well and, um, who we all should aspire to be like – headshots of the one who’d been in “Cats” or “Les Miserables.” It was run by a woman called Betty Laine, who had bright red hair. She didn’t mince her words. And though she was very sweet, she was a real thespian. It became very obvious from the start that I was never going to be the best singer or the best dancer or the best actress. I was never a ‘natural.’ You know, I’ve never been that good at anything, to be completely honest.”
