Victoria Beckham is hoping to open a designer clothes store in her new hometown of Los Angeles, according to reports.

The unsmiling Spice Girl has tagged celeb pals Katie Holmes and Eva Longoria in setting up a shop on L.A’s posh Melrose Avenue. The proposed boutique will specialize in selling items from her dVb range of jeans, sunglasses and handbags.

“Victoria wants to ensure she is as much of a fashion icon in the States as in the U.K. and this seems the ideal way to do it… if Victoria pulls it off it will do wonders to boost her status,” says an insider.
