Clive Christian No. 1 has been awarded the prestigious Guinness World Record for being the World’s Most Expensive Perfume at an event held at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York on Saturday.

The perfume is said to be made of the rarest ingredients in the world with no regard to cost and retails for $2,350.00 for 30ml of the pure perfume and approximately 1000 bottles of men’s and women’s perfumes are released each year.  The most expensive bottle of the Clive Christian perfume, the No. 1 Imperial Majesty bottle made of Baccarat Crystal and inset with a white diamond, was on display Saturday at Saks. Valued at over $200,000.00 only 10 bottles were ever produced.

Fans of the perfume are Elton John and Katie Holmes, who wore it on her wedding day when she married Tom Cruise.
